T-Bay
Turned my TE GP11 head on tonight and got a ticking noise along with the ECI light flashing. So I switched it off, checked the plug and lead and turned back on, the clicking was double speed as was the flashing light. So switched off, got my little socket tester which showed everything to be ok. Tried it again and all was fine. I have also noticed odd periods of very low level white noise in recent weeks which comes and goes in a fairly regular pattern, then doesn’t happen at all at other times. Any suggestions folks? TheGreek
Get it serviced by a reputable tech. Let them know about the problem. They should be able to identify any faults and make good. You'll hopefully get back a "like new" amp - well at least mine seem to be when they come back.
T-Bay
I am pretty handy and do most stuff myself and to be honest this one isn’t worth enough to spend a lot on. It’s been fine since, just wonder8mg what may have the caused the issues on that one occasion, just a it odd.
BassBod
Find the connector block that links the preamp to power amp - give the pins a clean with contact cleaner. Other than that it’s safety check time?
