Lovely - the only bass that could convince me to have another go at a 5er

Unfortunately 'money's too tight to mention' GLWTS

It is lovely😍

money....ah the dreaded word....

Any physical mods made to the bass when new pups and electronics were added? (In other words, is restoration to original form a matter of simply swapping parts?) Also, does this one have a truss rod or no? Thanks -- David

My next bass will be a 5-string Status Streamline with custom fret markers

Just as soon as the bank manager stops sending me threatening letters

This is sooooo tempting

Ditto: can this be returned to stock? And would you consider selling as stock for a lower price?

What did you think was missing from the stock sound that made you make the changes?

Sorry for late reply. Gigs were a demanding.

Slight widening of the holes to fit the East pots. Restoring is just swapping parts I believe.

Yes, this one has a truss rod....

Sorry for the late reply. Gigs were demanding.

It is nice isn’t it😉

This can be returned to stock yes, but the improvements are so good that I would ask why...

I prefer to sell as is now simply because it’s better and obviously less hassle.

My opinion is the stock setup is not as versatile, and lacked true ‘oomph’ and sizzle. ie: going from a p bass sound to a jazz bass sound.

Layman terms but you would get the point if/when you hear it!

Of the Basses that have departed from my collection, the Streamline is the one I regret selling the most... GLWTS

I am very interested. What is the String Spacing? Are you willing to ship to the States.

Thank You

How are the pickups wired - in series or parallel, each?

Also, could you please check whether there'd be enough space for a 3-way toggle for each pickup, to get the series/split/parallel switching installed? (A pic of the electronics cavity without the cover, would be great)

Thanks :)

Wired in parallel but can be in series...even single/dual coils

I’m sure switches can be fitted (micro for sure...)

I’ll get around to a cavity pic ASAP.

Hi

what is the spacing at the bridge?

i had a 4 string version loved it but tonally left me uninspired. This could be the way!

Posted (edited)

String spacing is 18mm

To be frank, I do think this is the way! 🧐

I've been asked to sell 'cheaper' by returning it to stock...as I replied, it seems to be going backwards. My genuine belief is that this is now a much better instrument.
