These don’t have disconnecting cables? So it’d be a case of breaking the shells to replace the cables ?

i know its possible to buy new cables for resoldering but it’s whether or not splitting the earphones casing is what you want to do.

They are easily disabled without damaging them. All I need is a cable.

Studiospares do a replacement lead for their m1000/2000 phones. Not expensive either. Just chop the (colour coded!) plugs off the cans end

Alternatively, feed about 4 inches of the cable through where it enters the phones, chop off and re-solder. The cable is most likely to have broken where it enters the phones, or leaves the plug, unless you've run over it with a chair or similar.

I'm using Mixcder AC505 audio cable, it's cheap but durable. Also the sound quality is okay.
