dodge_bass Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 You’d be better off using a specialist for work on your instrument. though I’m sure Steve Martin is good as I understand it he’s not an actual luthier / trained (but I could well be wrong). Ralph Plumb is based in Hexham and is a dedicated double bass / cello builder and repairer and is excellent. PM me for details . He’s done various bits of work for me and other pro players around the NE so that should give you confidence! Ian Quote
