TheRev Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I've just installed a set of Sunbeams and they have neither silked ends or coloured balls. Nice strings though - a touch warmer and fuller sounding than Ernie Ball nickel Slinkys. Quote

No silk, and the ball ends are a gold/brass colour. Absolutely amazing strings. I've used Sunbeams as well, and they're great too. I think I just prefer the extra snap of the Hi-Beams, but I'd happily use Sunbeams as well. Quote

OutToPlayJazz Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 I had some fatbeams on my Miller Jazz & they didn't have any form of coloured binding. Lovely strings, though. Quote
