I guess if you're using 3 or 4 instruments with wildly different outputs during a set and are too lazy to adjust the volume/gain on your amp?

Or if you're a bassist who just has to play a shredding guitar solo mid-song, and changing the leads is just too slow

As it says in the blog,not of use to everyone but a lot of kit isn't.Lets face it you can play all your life with a bass and amp so everything out there from that could be questioned

At one point with the Pogues covers band, I was swapping between banjo, bouzouki, fiddle and mandolin for different songs, all 4 instruments routed through the same acoustic guitar amp which I used as a monitor and then DI back to the desk.

Something like this would have been very handy - I cobbled something together using an LS2 and both inputs of the amp if I remember rightly.
