edjay
I put my bass up for sale in a few free-ads on the net but, I'm not sure if I put it up too cheap? Now I've had a look around on the Net, I can see that the X790 is probably more rare than a penny black? Here's the ad: WESTONE PANTERA II X790 Single piece active bass. In need of TLC. Played well from 1985 to 90, been more or less in the case since then! Black laquered - Body consists of: Carved Maple front and back, Canadian Hard Rock Maple neck with African Ebony fingerboard and graphite nut, Magna Cast bridge. 34 inch scale, 24 frets. Original case. Build date roughly 1985, there's a pic and review here from the 80's: http://www.westone.info/reviews/gmaug86/index.html ...and the spares for the TLC are here under "bridge saddles." http://www.westone.info/spares/index.html I have since been told by an interested party in Germany that the spares above are for a guitar and not a bass. There's a closer shot of the bridge showing the TLC needed on one or two of the saddles. Any comments appreciated. johnnylager
I remember lusting after one of these, but being put off by the graphic on the body. Then I bought an Aria Pro II.
