doctorbass
C/S by Los Carnales. Some of the greasiest blues Ive heard in a long time. Bass player is Preston Hubbard, one time Fabulous Thunderbird (after Keith Ferguson) - well worth a listen.

wotnwhy
bought 3 fan-bloomin-tastic albums recently Squarepusher - Just a Souvenir deffinitly my favorite squarepusher album so far. love every second of it and seems to be more accessible than other albums. Soil & "Pimp" session - Pimpoint everyone needs to hear this! i think they refer to their music as 'death jazz'. i personally don't like that description, though i can see why they chose it. very intense at times, but awe inspiringly beautiful at others. organized chaos at it's best! James Taylor Quartet - Live at the Jazz Cafe captures the energy they have live perfectly, which doesn't happen often with live albums. a deffinite for any fan, and highle recomended for new listeners. WalMan
Frost* - Experiments In Mass Appeal finally dropped through my letter box this morning after a major ordering screw up by the Classic Rock Society. Just getting its first blast while I should be getting on with some work. Otherwise most of my recent additions have been downloads from eMusic from which I am particularly enjoying The Reasoning - Awakening and Dark Angel and Todd Rundgren - Arena

7string
Before I list the most recent CD's, I must say that I'm wearing asbestos pyjamas Matt Scannell & Richard Marx - Duo (Great acoustic album). That led me on to buy: Richard Marx - Emotional Remains & Sundown (2 CD's released simultaneously). Vertical Horizon - Go & Everything You Want (Matt Scannell's band, why didn't I find this earlier. Nu-metal/rock vibe). I've also bought: Brad Paisley - Play (the "Guitar album" from the new country star). Jonas Hellborg - Art Metal (pretty crazy weird metalish stuff).
