Brook_fan Posted March 29, 2018 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I know this is a bass forum, but there may be some multi instrumentalists here. i have two virtually brand new mandolin instruments for sale from the superb Eastman company. I have owned them for a month, by trading in a very expensive but esoteric hand made mandolin that I couldn’t sell privately. I always intended moving these two on ASAP. So we have first of all a 504 oval hole mandolin, all solid wood, complete with hard case. This mandolin sounds particularly splendid, and can hold its own against mandolins two or three times its price. Perfect intonation, very easy to play. Looking for £650. Next is a 305 octave mandolin, one of the best value archtop octaves money can buy. It is awesome. 21” scale, satin finish, gig bag. Extremely easy to play, lovely tone (far nicer than any flat top octave I have ever tried, and believe me I have tried a few). I’m looking for £600 for this.
