Kevin Dean Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Anyone use them to stop punters putting drinks on PA subs ? I worry about my EV powered subs , only take one pint to go over . Quote
EBS_freak Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 They work - there's only one problem. They look SHHHHHH1T! Guess it depends on your venue you - wedding photos immediately look rubbish if they are in shot. 1 Quote

They work... and made well - but you could fashion your own up from bits down Wickes and some gaffa is you are that way inclined. 2 Quote
Les Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I really can't see the justification in their pricing if I'm honest. There's got to be a diy method that makes sense. 1 Quote

Kevsy71 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I bet you could still rest one of these on them... 3 Quote
Les Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Get a printing firm to do you bespoke table tent cards. Cut a hole at the top if you need to drop a speaker pole into the sub. You'd need large ones but you could have your bands logo on them. The sub safes would have worked out at 260 quid for our Peavey MK11 subs. Crazy money. Quote
Al Krow Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Save yourself a few quid and just print this off! Quote

CameronJ Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Looks to me like a DIY alternative could easily be thrown together for pennies but, for what it’s worth, I don’t think the Subsafes are any more ugly than the average “naked” sub would be 1 Quote
dannybuoy Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Just put a pair of dirty boxers on the sub, not many will want to put their drink on top. Quote

yorks5stringer Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 a deceased pigeon on said item would also keep punters at arms length... 1 Quote

bertbass Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Cut a cardboard box in half, corner to corner, so you end up with 2 pyramids. Cut a hole for the pole in the top. Paint black and you're done. Or, sell them for £199 the pair! 1 2 Quote

lurksalot Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 I saw a very elegant solution by a DJ at a party , he had some white cloth wrapped around the pole from under the top that draped around the sub , this was then backlit and looked really good , though I supppose black cloth might work as well 1 Quote
