Hooch Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 (edited) I'm selling my all original late (december) 1978 Stingray. The bass is in great condition for a 40-year old instrument. Some chips on the coat of the ash body here and there, and that's all. Neck's straight, trussrod's stiff, but has a lot of life left assuming my luthier - just have a look to the bullet position. Low action without fretbuzz (2mm on 12th fret). Comfy C shaped neck, thin frets OK. Not-so-common weight for an old Stingray: 8.8lbs/4kg Great sounding bass, with dead silent electronics - preamp is the epoxy version - which provides this unique Stingray growl, but warmer tones too. Definitely more flexible than later Stingrays. £1920 / 2200 euros, comes with (non-original) case. I live near Paris and am happy to ship the bass in a strong parcel - shipping fees at buyer's expense. Edited April 6, 2018 by Hooch
