isteen Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Hello fellow bassplayers. At the moment I am playing an EBS 450 Classic + EBS Pro Line 4x12". I think the cab has a rather dark or muffled sound. Does anyone else have experiences with that cab (or head)? I'm thinking of getting another cab - or maybe even another head. What would you say? I play rock, pop and 70's rock Quote
EBS_freak Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Dark?! Are you sure your tweeter is up... and working? EBS cabs are amongst the brightest cabs out there! Quote
thodrik Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 That cab should be incredibly bright and incredibly loud. Is it possibly to do with the settings on the amp? The classic 450 is designed to give more of an 'old school' sound, so if you push the drive on it might make things sound a bit muffled. See if you can try the head with a different cab and the cab with a different head. Quote

isteen Posted April 13, 2018 Author Posted April 13, 2018 Tried a modded up Behringer head with the 4x12 cab tonight. Very different tone, pleased with the sound, so the EBS Classic head will have to be used somewhere else Quote
