The old Roland Bass Cube 30.

Still got mine despite my posh Barefaced / DG M900 / Tecamp Puma rig.

Plus one to that. Used regularly at home and in practice for the past 8 years. Never missed a beat and always surprises with its output.

I've got one for sale in the marketplace right now. They're pretty good, i just don't need it.

The best low volume amp and cab I use for playing at home is my regular Aguilar TH500 and a Barefaced One10. If I add the second One10 the sound is wonderful.

Great rig but possibly not the cheapest option as a practice amp. Mind you the OP didn't mention budget to be fair.

In fact his post doesn't match the topic title at all!

I find the fan noise of my TH500 too irritating for low volume practise.

Peavey Microbass - great little thing despite it's size and being a bit basic. Not sure what the newer ones are like but the models from the late '90s / '00s punch well above their weight.

I got one of these as my first amp back in 97. Still use it for rehearsals - we run a mini-mixer into it and it handles bass and vocals.
