Fret buzz

Hi guys , I ve got a jack Cassidy which was left to me by a friend , however the bass plays great but I do get a fret buzz when fretting the F on the E string , all the rest is fine . 

Do you know if this can be fixed by giving some relief to the neck ?

Do you know the history of the instrument? It might just need a 'setup'? I'd be doing a few measurements before I messed with anything.
