Is this a pickup?

Found this in a bag with what's definitely a DB pickup while looking for something else -- I assume this is a piezo that clamps onto the bridge? The cable is phono -> phono to 1/4" adapter -> 1/4" socket to 1/4" socket.

Unfortunately I don't have a bass any more to test my theory with. Anyone seen one like it before?

It is indeed. It's a Barcus Berry Pickup.

It's a nice thing, and I might be interested in it if you're looking to sell it? It's missing the pads I think to attach it to the bridge.
