I think I've got the pickup out of one of those in a bitsa.  It would probably be good for metal, if I played metal.

How big does that rout need to be for the controls though - it's MAHOOSIVE!!!

Guessing they made a more expensive active model as well.  One line to shape all the P bodies, only one back cover to design and source, useful little saver.
