NancyJohnson
Does anyone here own both of these and pair/daisychain them? Occasionally, I want to carry less gear, sometimes I want to run a dual channel set up, sometimes I want to run a bridged mono set up. A 2x12 isn't really an option. chris_b
No, I always use 2 SC's for the loud gigs, but a few weeks ago I borrowed a Super Midget and ran it with one of the SC's. I thought the SM tightened up the sound and added an extra punch. The rig sounded very good on stage and absolutely massive out in the room. I'm now seriously considering getting an SM. I either use an Aguilar AG700 or TH500. I would think adding a BB2 to an SC will add more punch, a lot more low end and more volume than I had with the SM. If you already have a BB2 I'd run a second for a dual channel rig. Edited April 23, 2018 by chris_b
Jack
As far as I know the BB2 with the crossover at its highest is pretty much the super compact. They should pair alright, is what I'm saying. Of course, a pair of BB2s would be even better. It's always best to match.
NancyJohnson
I just figured the BB2 would sound nicer (or more expansive) if I were to use that side for an overdriven channel, given the tweeter would handle a slightly extended hi-range. chris_b
The BB2 cab is bigger than the SC so it will go louder, deeper and be tuned differently. As always, when the questions get into obscure details, Alex is the best guy to talk to.
