Colonel36 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 What a sound. What a drummer and great attitude also. 2 Quote
Dad3353 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Good Stuff ^^ ... That's exactly how I go about playing 'free-style' when I'm not playing covers or such, or just chilling out, with 'empty' rhythms that correspond to stuff only I can hear in my imagination. Up the tempo a little, change the accent, throw in a fill or 'falling down stairs' drum lick, cool it down and start again... I get lost when playing (drums, stoopid... ) by myself; it can go on for quite a while until I suddenly find that I've forgotten to 'breath' again, and have to stop for a rest, exhilarated but exhausted. Good Stuff... Quote

In a career break while his wife was away from home Abe Sr stopped playing to stay home and raise Abe Jr for a couple of years. He then went back to gigging when his wife was back home to continue the parenting. I like both of them. Quote

ezbass Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 I love Abe Jr, the power he creates is amazing. I can't watch this clip (0:30 onwards) and help thinking that the kit winces overtime he plays (especially at 1:15+). 1 Quote
casapete Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Great drummer, and not a bad singer too - remember seeing him with Paul McCartney doing some nifty BV's. Quote
jacko Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 I love watching him on McCartney videos. He always looks like he's having the most fun. Quote
chris_b Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 He has toured the world with Macca and he's got P Mc in gaffa tape on the front of his bass drum. Love it. Quote
Huge Hands Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Interesting kit/kick drum/pedal layout. I wonder how that helps him. Nothing wrong with it, if that's his choice, just interested.... Quote
