jackers
Just seen an ad for the Alpha 5, which looks stunning. I've looked at some demos of the 4 string version online and it sounds pretty nice too. Assuming I don't pre-order (which seems to end in 2 days), the bass will cost $999 + shipping + customs fees, which will likely end up around £1000. I'm not a huge fan of the idea of dropping a grand on something I can't see or play beforehand, especially with it being a purchase from overseas. From what I can tell, they are a fairly small brand, but was just wondering if anyone knew of anywhere in this country that is a Jericho stockist? BigRedX
Not wanting to rain on your parade, but having had a look at the Jericho Guitars web site, all I can see is yet another Fender copy bass. I can't see what is so special about it.

Grahambythesea
It looks like the Jazz met the Aerodyne and added a string. It looks interesting, but you’re right about investing that kind of cash without trying it and without it having a track record or perhaps someone respected endorsing it. I hope that the OP would question what exactly it was about this Fender copy that made it more desirable when compared with the hundreds of other Fender copies that are far more easily available . jackers
it's a 5 string aerodyne copy, that's why I'm interested. I'm not expecting anything wildly different. I just want a 5er, and Aerodynes are my favourite style of bass.
ped
Looks nice, that. Worth a punt I’d say, probably will be fairly easy to sell in the UK if you don’t get on with it, given it’s a familiar style.
HazBeen
It does indeed, good design.
jackers
At least hearing from a few other people gives me more confidence it won't be awful, haha. They seem to be fairly established in the guitar market (for a small company at least), but there is little info on the basses in this country. Going to be getting a tax rebate in the next month, and am looking to put it into a 5 string that I'll actually want to play.
CameronJ
Saw an advert for Jericho Guitars on Facebook the other day and I must say I was very attracted for all the reasons mentioned by @jackers. Always wished Fender made an aerodyne 5er!
