Mark bass 610

Hi all,

 

Just wondered if anyaone has ever used or regularly uses a 610?

Im currently using a super compact, so just wondered what differences there would be?

Would it be massively louder? Tighter? Bigger sound etc?

We put everything through the pa but are starting to do bigger gigs etc and a bit more would be nice.

In particular im looking at a markbass sealed 610 classic.

Any help appreciated.

Have you considered getting a second SC. That's what I did. Most of the time I take one cab for rehearsals/pub gigs but for the bigger gigs/wanting to show off I take two. Plus much easier to transport/carry than a 610.

Yes, but the price is just way too high for another super compact im afraid.

I saw a bassist using a CL610 about a month back. Had a good sound, and was super portable, lighter than my Ashdown ABM410. Everything was through FOH, but I could hear his sound pretty good on sound-check and the sound from the rig wasn`t radically different to that of FOH, so maybe this cab doesn`t have the high-end roll-off that some Markbass cabs seem to have.

Cheers Lozz, i think these cabs have an adjustable tweeter for the high end.

Just picked one of these up. Sounded great. Gonna give it a run over tbe weekend then prob gig it next weekend.

The portability and weight is crazy for a 6x10 !
