Donnyboy
Looks pretty beat up .. https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/1982-westone-thunder-1-a-bass-guitar/1296355774 "Used Westone Thunder 1-A bass guitar. Various dings, bumps and scratches from the previous owner. My pictures should bring up most of these. I don't play bass and this guitar has sat in my closest for years. I'm unsure what the toggles and switches do but they all appear to be working. The knob closest to the input jack is a bit wobbly and when switching pickups there is some buzzing so there may be a grounding issue with the electrics. Only gave this guitar a cursory play through my guitar amp to make sure it works so feel free to bring along a bass amp to test. These guitars can go for over £200 on eBay but due to the condition I am only asking for £70." ( I'm not the seller and wouldn't know him if I bumped into him)
Bassassin
Not sure they realistically make more than £150-odd on Ebay - the last 2 I watched went for £111 & £121 respectively. Still, £70 is a bit of a steal for this - never mind the scuffs, it still has all its original knobs & no broken toggles - amazing! If I didn't have a house full of projects I'd probably be all over this.
Donnyboy
Looks like it's sold - I was thinking it'd be even more of a bargain given it's authentic reliced/roadworn condition... just look at the nick of the neck in the 2nd photo - wow
prowla
I've never, as far as I can recall, played one of these and I never gave them a second glance back in the day. However, they seem to have taken on a cult status and I would buy one for that kind of price.
Grangur
Always intrigued by the vast numbers of people who sell basses who claim "I know nothing about Bass, but owned it for years". Also, the people who're selling a bass that "a mate left it here and never came back to collect it". Sounds like an independent "Crack Converter".
