Dodgy string ?

Installed a new set of Dunlop Super Bright’s on my Fodera and the G string has a phasing / out of tune sound on the high Ab and G. In 30 years this is the 1st time I’ve had this. Put another G on and it’s gone so must be the string ? I always do the right angle thing before cutting the string and have the right amount of winding on the post.

Worth asking for a refund / replacement set / string ?

Yes. I mentioned to D'addario last week that my string broke at a gig and they sent me a new set within 48 hrs. Do it.

If you don’t ask you don’t get. I have found that most manufacturers and retailers recently are happy to provide replacement strings when you have a faulty one.

Didn't hear back from Jim Dunlop so emailed Bassdirect & within a minute they replied and have sent out a replacement set. Awesome service once again.
