I never use 'em and would rather do without, but my OCD won't allow the screw holes...

The black finish underneath isn’t as bad as a white blonde or red set of holes...

Ahh... I didn't know that, I've never owned a black bass. :D

Think this is my 3rd in 20 years

Tell a lie, I had an early 80s G&L SB2 in black and maple. Another fantastic bass I let slip through my fingers. 9_9

Small victory today while I wait for the shop to get the covers either refunded or send the ones I ordered...

I got the jack socket changed to a silver nut and washer...switchcraft as per original black one.

Basschat to the rescue.

a very friendly owner of a 63 “pure vintage” reissue bass has offered his flat covers and thumb rest so I’ve snapped them up and will return the incorrect items to the shop.

Absolutely correct sir, its a beast!

As an aside, got a set of fender covers spare just before I send them back.

Looking at them, it now transpires they’re the right ones and I should’ve looked more closely...
