LazyB
I recently bought a bass (New to playing), and i can't really figure out for the life of me what "knob" does what. The Volume one is pretty obvious as with all the others turned on and volume off there's no sound. I think one is the "blend" for the two pickups, and the remaining two "tone". All three of these click at the middle point of the turning cycle. Not sure if this is the right place for this post but seems more of a technical question than a general one. Picture attached for reference.
BassBunny
Is it active or passive, (ie is there a battery anywhere.Could be a battery box on the back of the bass or inside the control cavity)? A picture of the inside of the control cavity would help.
LazyB
It's active, currently at work will post picture of the control cavity once home.
LazyB
As promised the picture of the control cavity, hopefully a good enough picture. On a side note I've managed to make the top strap button screw hole pretty much not hold anymore, have seen toothpicks used as a packing to get the screw tight again. BassBunny
That's the same pre-amp that is in some SGC Nanyo Bass Collections and Tune Maniacs, and i know it well. With the bass strapped on and looking down at the controls: Top Left is Volume, Top Right is Bass - Cut and Boost, Bottom Left is Blend and Bottom Right is Treble - Cut and Boost. So your picture is pretty much correct although you marked the right hand controls as "tone" and not Bass/Treble. Regarding the strap pin, cocktail sticks are a good solution. A dab of superglue on the stick before you shove it in the hole is a good idea.
