christhammer666 Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Got from guitar guitar a couple days ago second hand plays great as is but gonna stick a gotoh 201 bridge , Wilko heads and a spb3 quarter pounder on it Quote
LITTLEWING Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 Nice looker. My problem is that although they're excellent in their own right, I just can't get used to the 'nearly but not quite' thin bodies. If they came usual Fender thickness, I'd have half a dozen. 1 Quote

I feel exactly the same my wife bought me a 1989 MIK Squier Precision & I can't get passed the thinner body. Quote

Lozz196 Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Very good instruments the Affinities, play much better than you kight expect of a budget instrument, great as a backup or to learn on - if only starter basses had been as good when I started. Quote
christhammer666 Posted May 11, 2018 Author Posted May 11, 2018 i havent put the duncan in yet but even as is i cant put it down Quote
LewisK1975 Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Interesting, I didn't realise these were made with thinner bodies, what's the actual difference in thickness between these and the usual thickness then? Quote
luckman67 Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I have heard/read roughly a quarter of an inch, if thatch true or not. Quote
