nick Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Hi Was wondering if anybody ever does string scraping on their bass, that technique that all heavy metal guitarists seem to do all the time. Do it myself occaisionally, partly to piss off any guitarists Anybody have any interesting techniques? Can't seem to do it, when I've got flats on though(?) Cheers Quote

Use your finger to guide the thumb. Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 One of those jellyfish picks might do a slide impression on flats. Also, think punker stuff has the gratuitous pick slides: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EKaZuVaJGbI My web-fu is too weak to embed. Quote
