songofthewind Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Talking Heads, two basses, Stop Making Sense, Take Me To The River. Cosmic. Quote
nilorius Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 I don't know about these guys. But a situation where plays 2 basses could be only if one plays only low groove and the other improvises high and then they switch, drums also could be and piano or rythm guitar. Let's say Jaco and Gary Willis. A song for 10 minutes. Quote

Not unusual for Letterman back in the day when the guest band had a bass player... Quote
chris_b Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 Spinal Tap. How many basses? Dumpstaphunk, 2 basses and funky as flip. . . . Quote
ezbass Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) Ooh, a zombie thread, love it. 🧟♂️ Two bass players on one song? John Mayer’s I Don’t Trust Myself has Pino and Willie Weeks on the album version and there’s Pino and De La on a live version. Edited May 15, 2022 by ezbass Quote
chris_b Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) Pino and David LaBruyere on the video. Edited May 15, 2022 by chris_b Quote
