DJ '65
He was an old boy, 15 and a half, and had a good life. It was a tough time as we lost Alfie and Charlie ( see avatar) within 3 weeks of each other, Charlie was nearly 14. Both lovely boys indeed and real characters. We wasn’t going to have any more but the house felt empty so we took the plunge and now have another chocolate roan and tan boy.... Ozzy 😁 whilst we were collecting him I just mentioned to Sandra (the breeder) that we may have another in the near future and she said she was retiring one of her breeding b!tch3s so we bought Bella the chocolate dog back too! sorry that was off topic folks.... ead
Well your breeder Sandra has most of the right letters in the right order so I feel this is permissable Plus who doesn't love a great dog story.

ProfJames
Is there a Sandberg serial number database that can specify make, model and year of build?
Cuzzie
Somewhere back some pages there are ones listed which are about right

goonerjoe
picked up my VS4 today after a 6 month wait, and have been playing it all afternoon through my Ashdown tonepocket. It really is a stunning instrument - the build quality is flawless and it plays perfectly. The pickup seems quite bright, but i'll wait until rehearsal to judge it fully - the active electronics take a bit of tweaking, but i'm sure i'll get used to it. The Pau Ferro board has some nice swirls, the bridge looks great - everything feels solid. Overall, worth the wait and very happy with it

Not sure how the passive VS4 might fair against a Fender P I have a sound in my head from a Fender P bass and was hoping the passive VS4 might have the same tone. Dave If that is what you are after then I would get the Sandy and pop a different pick up in - that way you get the quality of the build and the sound you want. Had a passive VS4 with a Sandy pick up - it’s still not a Fender P Edited December 4, 2020 by Cuzzie

ead
I had the Cali I passive VS4s for a while. Gigged it regularly and tbh couldn't really tell the difference sound-wise between it and my backup Fender MIJ P bass. GisserD
Its only the last few days that I realised how my sandy cali1 TM5 (the black one from a few posts back)... Has a very large fretboard radius. Ie its very flatt compared to my fenders. Is this common on sandy? I dont remember the VM5 having the same. Edit* just remembered I have a laser scan of the VM so i can/will compare Edited December 5, 2020 by GisserD
