The webshop recently stopped shipping directly to UK customers.  I ordered a part this week via the UK distributor by emailing [email protected] ; it will be included in the next shipment of basses sent over (whenever that is - TBC).  There may be delays as Germany is currently in lockdown.

Should have answered that in Gaelic but couldn't find an English to Scots Gaelic translator other than one that changed it to Thank Ye. That's more Scottish English slang. 😂

Would be my pleasure

This is it next to a couple others I made/bitsa’d together9EBC75CA-8FA0-4C0E-8D53-0650D1D68D7D.thumb.jpeg.7d85b3e6fb9335435114dd98cf142cc9.jpeg

It has a status P neck which I didn’t quite get on with.

here is the body alone

Plan is to either go for a maple with blocks like your classic Geddy - or I may actually get a status jazz neck, which I love, with no markings or logo and go completely stealth - it has a lovely tone to it.

The body is a Fender Highway One I picked up second hand for a great price - so very well made

Very impressive! You holding onto your various bits of handiwork or moving them on to make way for the next project?

Most of my stuff will be difficult to get rid of - I made them with specific sonic goals in mind, in my mind, which will in all honesty not suit most people - the shells/parts of course can be put to other uses, those not too routed and battered by me.

What it does is give you an appreciation of cost and Labour, but also marvel at both top an bottom ends about what stuff does, what makes a difference etc.

Would I pop my stuff against anything bitsa or self made (to a degree not done necks yet) absolutely sound wise - fit and finish would be lacking compared to proper luthiers.

I would sell the self made ones last if I had to offload whatever I had, not just for sentiment.

Long answer basically no plans, but doesn’t mean they may not leave!

I thought so too but apparently the languages are different in many ways.

From what i found In Scots Gaelic its tapadh leibh.

The white is a status neck, it’s camera flash but the maple one is actually gold but I did a white underneath the gold so as it relics, the white shows and I also seasoned and stained the wood of the whole body so that whenever that shows it looks old and not bright bare wood as it started out

Here are the steps (there were multiple coats and stains relic process etc)

@Cuzzie like that white P bass with maple looking neck. Little bit on the relic side but i would be happy with that.

Dave

I did the relic specific to where and how I wear and play a bass

great fun

I don't really like the Sandberg headstock, that said, these VMs dropped into my timeline a few days ago.  The reverse headstock works for me...

Put some EMG's in my Bullet and changed the pre to the EMG BQC. I think i prefer it over the Delano's...the Delano's were OK but love having the mid control on the BQC. Had to change the crappy EMG plastic knobs  - now sporting much improved chrome knobs.
