There are a minority of weirdos who claim the bridge is the front but they should be secured in a treatment centre next to those who put pineapple on pizza. I'm contacting you from the treatment centre with my pineapple and ham pizza but i do agree on the front and back pick up positions. Supernaut
Really enjoyed playing my Sandberg yesterday - never realised how meaty the MM pickup is! Just received an Xotic RC Bass Booster too so even more EQ options on tap.

BassApprentice
That's a looker! I can't think of another brand that can offer such great designs in both modern and classic looks.

Shiveringbass
Hello, My Sandy TM5 sl in action at Thursday gig. I'm not realy visible (behind the keyboard) but the tone can't be missed. Absolutly stunning sound IMHO. The pops just jump out, very snappy. My band mates just love it. https://fb.watch/9oQBRHad7W/ Enjoy.

They'll do most things if you want, the classic series are all 24 fret I think.
Quatschmacher
Perhaps this is a more obvious place to ask this question:

Might be able to swing by if I ever manage to get up to do the Glasgow trip that’s been on hold due to Covid (had accommodation booked and such). Yep, Brinsworth is in Rotherham so not far from here.

Dont think you'll be disappointed with the playability of Sandberg basses. Its more about what tone you need. I have the VM4 but sometimes i feel the TM4 might have been a better choice for me as i love my Jazz bass. Necks are so nice to play and all the ones i've tried have been lighter than my Fenders. All well balanced. You can get a really low action on them due to the PLEK system on the frets. I had mine down at around 1.2mm at home but when i started gigging again i had to raise it slightly to 1.5mm because i play quite hard on the strings with my plucking hand. Would have thought there was a Guitar Guitar in your area. That's where i've tried them all. I did drive down to Bass Direct once to try out 5 stringers so if you are gonna spend a lot of money on a bass you really want to try them out and a day out might be worthwhile for you. Guitar Guitar Birmingham or Newcastle look nearest to you. Dave Edited November 26, 2021 by dmccombe7

If my lovely blue P bass sells then I’ll be taking a trip to BD to buy something they have in (unless it goes before mine sells) and could give the Sandbergs a go then.
Quatschmacher
I tried a VM courtesy of @GrammeFridaywhen I bought a bass from him - lovely, but it’s a five string so not a fair representation of what I’d be playing.

Dave I think the only one in store is the Basic 4, the rest are to order. @Quatschmacher I have a TT4 here in Preston you are welcome to come and try but not quite what you were asking for.

Thanks. I presume there are some neck differences between the T and V series. Edit - looking at the Sandberg site, the thickness at the zero fret and the nut widths are the same. Nothing about the front-to-back taper though. Edited November 26, 2021 by Quatschmacher
mattpbass
I have a TT4, a VT4 and a VS4, neck profile is the same on all of them (and very nice necks they are too, much more jazz than P).
