Tomi
For sale I have beautifully sounding Ovation Magnum Bass. As per serial number the guitar is from 1974-1979 year. Considering EQ with sliders I believe this is Magnum II model. Electronics works properly. I can send additional pictures of any part of guitar to the interested buyer. Shipping cost are not included. I am located in Croatia, so in case of interest for Ovation we can find best shipping solution that will be covered by buyer. Thanks a lot guys, Cheers!

Shaggy
Lovely, and definitely a Magnum II, nice to see its got the original sliding mute too as they're often removed. Worth putting on a repro pickguard to get it back to original spec: http://pickguards.us/priceovation.html. (Sometimes they're available on eBay, but can't see any listed at the moment)

lowregisterhead
What a fantastic bass. I've always fancied one of these, but unfortunately it would be completely impractical for the gigs I do. GLWTS!!

Happy Jack
Tomi, is that a 6-band EQ with 6 sliders, or a 3-band EQ with 3 pairs of sliders (and the link bars missing)?
Shaggy
I could be wrong, but I think it was a 3 band with 6 sliders, with one slider of each pair contolling a volume compensation circuit
Happy Jack
I was thinking about this image:
Shaggy
Sorry, should have said - yes the 3 bars across the pairs definitely missing in OP pics - you can see them on the pic of Ross Vallory's bass above Ediit - and I'm being thick, as your query to the seller was clearly whether the original circuit has been replaced with a 6-band EQ Edited June 2, 2018 by Shaggy
Tomi
Hi guys. I got it as it is on pics. Might be that someone removed the sliders.
Happy Jack
So is it a 3-band EQ? And does moving one slider also move its 'pair'?
Tomi
Nope. Checked and you can move all 6 bars separately.
keeponehandloose
Im sure the actual circuit is only 3 band. I have a Magnum II that has been modded with rotary pots instead of sliders, theres only 3 pots plus vol & and a rotary pickup blend instead of a switch. Oldman
Just bumbled into this thread. I put one of those Ovations in Part Exchange for my 1988 Warwick Thumb, in 1988 in R & B Music in Aberdeen. I found out much later that (allegedly) there were only three imported... lovely bass. GLWTS. I still have the Thumb.
