Amazon Rickenbacker scam?

NOTE TO MODS: I'm pretty sure this is not a genuine sale, so am posting as a warning...

I was browsing Amazon and I came across some RIckenbackers at £455.00, so I had a look.

Hmmm, thinks Paul - that seems too good to be true.

So, I sent an email enquiring whether it was still available and received a reply:

It's ony £455 - what could possibly go wrong?

I strongly suspect that if you took a punt - in the event you got anything at all - it would be 100% Chickenbacker.

Hmmm. All those other products he has available (Samsung S7 Edge, Asus Zenbook, Keter Factor Outdoor storage shed...!) are all the same price as the Ricky, £455.

They’re asking for completion of the transaction outside of amazon. They say all offers will be cancelled and to email directly.

I think it’s just like the spate of eBay rick scams......

Also, according his messages it is 'brand new sealed in it's box', 'Box opened only', and it's been 'in my store in the showcase'. At least two of these statements would apear to be lies.

They've got so many of them on offer that they're probably getting confused as to which is which... :-)

Seriously though it looks just like the eBay scams stating that all bids / offers will be rejected and that completion is to be off eBay. To be fair to eBay they seem to be shutting those ads down very quickly now.
