offender Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Hello, I have a Japanese Jaguar Bass as in the picture below but am without a decent hard case for it. Does anyone know a decent one that will fit with good protection? Not bothered about it being a proper Fender one but just want one that's a nice good snug fit that will keep it safe. Cheers! CameronJ Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 The jaguar is pretty much a Jazz shape but with circumcised horns. So almost any bass case will fit since most bass case manufacturers assume you’re using either a Precision or a Jazz. Mono are great but expensive. Fusion are just as great and less expensive. Same for Protection Racket, Gruv Gear and Reunion Blues. They all make cases which are kind of hybrids between hard cases and soft cases. Close to the protection of hard cases but with much of the practicality of soft cases. Quote
Matt P Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 i'm a huge fan of Hiscox hard cases, they're pretty light and very strong and can usually be picked up secondhand for decent prices if you don't want to pay £100 new. they make 2 different ones and have a good detailed dimensions on the website. https://www.hiscoxcases.com/our-cases/bass-cases/ i have about 8 of their cases in total with 3 of them being the standard bass case, some of my instruments came with them as standard, the rest i bought new or secondhand depending on how skint i was at the time.
