P bass ID

Anyone care to speculate as to this bass's origins? Fuji 70s? Has fake F on headstock. Owner has no clue.

Looks like an MIM standard with a 60’s decal and shell plate? What’s the back of the headstock like? 

Looks to be in the Brown sunburst finish too.

Someone has sanded front and rear of head to get rid of decals.

although I seem to recall that mightymite necks look a lot like Mexico fenders. Could be that too

Im liking the cob-web on the A string tuner!!! Would want to keep it there if atall possible!!!

It's not old - look at the truss rod adjustment.

Tuners & that truss adjustment aren't something you'd find on any 70s MIJ bass. Looks recent to me.

Guy has removed neck to post pics but bass is now not for sale any more due to him thinking its something more than run of the mill but doesnt know its value.

He's deluding himself, if it was valuable it would still have the serial number and where it was made marked on it. The only reason to remove those marks is to try and cover up it's humdrum origins - which given that the body dates from 2000 is almost certain.
