A gorgeous analog delay.  Thoroughly recommend you guys check them out!  They had a stand opposite Bass Direct at LBGS and I thoroughly enjoyed trying all their bass pedals out, but this was the standout.  I had it custom finished, and yes, it has a glow plate!  Damn useful as well as cool, better than being blinded!

Looks interesting and congrats on the purchase Kev.

I've been looking around at delay pedals and I guess the things that make me hesitate to try this one are:

a) it's going to require buying new as I'm guessing there aren't many going second hand?

b) no tap tempo - which for me would be a 'must' for live use;

c) being able to store settings would be nice (again for live use);

d) just checked the price and for another £20, were you not tempted to go for the SA Nemesis?

Just checked out their Instagram - they sure do make some gorgeous looking pedals. I feel like a mug for not checking them out properly at the LBGS. I spent a fair amount of time at the BassDirect stand which was directly across from the Flattley stand 😫

Saying that though, part of the reason I didn’t check them out in depth was that the stand appeared to be a table of pedals without an obvious means of demoing them!

@Al Krow, they make a digital delay with tap tempo and modulation - http://www.flattleyguitarpedals.co.uk/index.php/products-guitar/the-ace

Good spot Cam. But I'm guessing that this digital delay is going to be quite £spendy? Any idea what they're going for (I coudn't see anything on their website, but I've maybe missed something).

But I don't know what your thoughts are on how this would compare £ for £ with the SA Nemesis which looks to me from its spec to have established itself as a serious challenger to previous market leaders such as the Strymon Timeline?

Currently selling for £282 posted. Which is almost exactly what a Nemesis costs. I’d be interested to hear how how the Flattley Ace sounds but I’m a mild Source Audio fanboy so I know where my money would be spent...

Thanks for finding that out. The SA Nemesis is a touch cheaper and seems to win hands down in terms of functionality. I guess I will start being labelled a SA fanboy, too, at this rate...😂

Ill always try to support smaller UK Businesses wherever I can :)  After trying it at the show (they had a demo bass, combo and headphones) I was blown away by its warmth and ambience and now I have one it just inspires me to make music.  Analog, super simple and goes from subtle echo to self oscillation, I love it.

I didn't think Tap Tempo and storing setting were common features on analog delays (in fact, use of either would surely require digital circuitry) and for me digital doesn't come close to the warmth and lofi-ness of analog.

Wow that looks like amazing value. How on earth can they provide these for £40?!

Ok they used to be £70 before being discontinued: https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/DISC-NUX-Time-Force-Effects-Pedal/1V92

I've not come across these guys before, but they seem to have a bit of pedigree / quality to them: http://www.nuxefx.com/list-13-1.html

@skidder652003 if you've tried it (as a semi pro gigging bassist) and think it works great, that's enough of a recommendation for me buddy! Order placed - £42 incl delivery rather than £269 on a SA Nemesis - ok, I'm not expecting it to be in the same league as the Nemesis or the Flattley gear given what I've just paid, but if it's 60% as capable and comes with 9 presets & 11 delay effects & tap tempo that works for me! :)
