SuperSeagull
Hi These strings were fitted to my Flea Jazz when I bought it s/h. The previous owner thought they were Ernie Balls but couldn't be sure. They are flats, a lighter gauge than my usual 45 - 105s and you can see that the A looks like a different string with a darker blue silk although it feels the same as the others. They have the same colour silks at the tuner end. I really like them, not as "flat" as the Elites I have on another bass. Thoughts very welcome as to what they are. Cheers. pete.young
Reckon Ernie Ball is right. I have a set which look identical on my Bass Collection fretless, 40 - 95. Think theyre these: https://ernieball.co.uk/guitar-strings/bass-strings/slinky-flatwound-electric-bass-strings#2815
SuperSeagull
Really helpful. Thanks. Do you have the lighter silks, I wonder if the A string is something different?
The59Sound
Could be Chromes also.
pete.young
Just wondering: if they're Chromes, would they not have multi-coloured ball ends like other D'Addario? This is what my Ernie Ball Flats look like. Not much variation in colour of silks. I wouldn't read too much into that.
