Tribute bands - where the name is better than the band

I remember WaterOfTyne once mentioning that there was a local tribute act named Joanne Joanne (it really needs a Geordie accent) and I've always kept an eye out for tribute bands with names that crack me up.

I've just seen that a local club (Tropic Of Ruislip) has next month the band SNOG - a tribute to Kiss.

I always liked Howlin' Wilf, although he wasn't really a tribute act.

A friend of mine has always wanted to form a mariachi band covering rock bands called Juan Jovi!  I'd pay to see that, I really would!

Al Murray used to play in a Jewish heavy metal band called Guns n Moses.

 

It wasn't very PC...

 

Their set appeared to be a very loud and fast version of Hava nagila...

This wasn't a tribute band either but I believe Wilf started in Ken Dodd's Dad's Dog's Dead. One of my favourite band names.

There's an ABCD  trib act.  And a Bon Jovial

Dread Zeppelin are real as stated earlier and i have their first album, and it's a killer. If you haven't seen or heard them,  the singer , Tortelvis , dresses and sings like... well , you know.

They cover mostly LZ tracks but done reggae style.  Weird and brillliant
