Maude
My favourite, although not actually seen them/him is Jeff Leppard. I'd love it to just be a bloke called Jeff reading poetry and all these 80's soft rock fans turn up disappointed.

HazBeen
I remember smiling quite a bit when I saw an Oasis tribute NOasis a few years ago. And don’t forget Fake That.

Dood
I used to love Beatallica.. A mash up of The Beatles and Metallica. There's a local band here who play punk songs on Ukuleles called The Pukes. I guess there's The Iron Maidens, the all-female Iron Maiden tribute. I do recall going to see The Lightness, a tribute to The Darkness, but I have to say they were light in all facets. Look, sound, effort and ability.
Graham
At a uni ball in 2004, so peak Darkness, they had a tribute act called The Dampness 😁

One of my favourite band names. My favourite band name is a local band called Richard Stilgoe's Wheelbarrow Full of MIlk 😀 I was in a Black Sabbath tribute band, being Scottish we went under the name of Mac Sabbath - easily about 100 tonnes of PA and lights, wigs, the whole shooting match Quite possibly uniquely, we were our own warm up act as we also went out as Das Rainbow - our singer, affectionately known as Baldy Jim was of similar stature to Ronnie James Dio Edited June 26, 2018 by Delberthot

josie
The Ramonas. Although not exactly as per the OP, they are as good as the name. Including one of my mostest favourite bass players on the current UK scene, Victoria Smith.

And Carl’s Burgers, a van that i’d often see parked up serving take away on the A11. I think they were actually served a notice to change the logo but they fought and won the case to keep theirs!
