For some its

Spend a fortune on boutique basses i need, because i cant play on anything other than hand built basses, but never leave the bedroom with them, so spend more money on basses that im happy to take to gigs (and amazingly,  i can play them)

I hate jamming. I don’t really like rehearsing but recognise it as necessary. 

I’m in a band for one reason and one reason alone - to play gigs.

For me;

1. Thankful after 50 years, I'm still gigging and having fun.

2. Being able to pay all my bills from money earned from gigs. I have low expenses.

3. Not complaining about stuff, bringing fun to rehearsals and gigs.
