51 precision pickup CIJ 03/04 £25

51 precision pickup from my CIJ reissue 

Replaced it with a Lindy Fralin split to reduce hum and because there’s a slight issue with the base plate coming away from the coil. This only effects playing if you directly touch or rest thumb on it. 

Good for vintage thumping!

What's the problem with the bassplate, are the pole pieces not properly anchored to it? What happens when you touch it?

I’m not sure exactly what the problem is, the result is lots of unwanted noise. Martin at the Gallery tested it and said it was a little unstable.
