uk_lefty
Trying to fit some fender tapewounds to my precision that has a leo Quan badass bridge. On the E the silk is too fat... Don't want to unpick it all in case it all unravels and ruins the string.... Please help! What should I do?
paul_5
I've had this before - I seem to remember using a smooth file and removing the silks like that, it's either that or ream the E string hole on the bridge...
BreadBin
Is this the silk at the ball end? I would've thought it will pull through with anything like normal tension on it.
uk_lefty
Yeah silk at the ball end was too thick. I tried with nail scissors and it did the job. Just wasn't sure if that would be fatal for the string but did it carefully and it was ok.
