Noisy Trace fan replacement

The fan on my Trace head is quite noisy, as I believe they all are. Not a problem when playing obviously but I’d like to get a quieter replacement. Does anyone know if a modern 80mm 12v PC case fan would fit the bill?

If you can be confident that they take the same current i cant see an issue

To make a proper comparison you need to compare the Air Volume figures.

If you can see the make / model on the Trace fan then you may be able to look it up.

If not I'd say it's likely to be fine.

You could fit a little thermal switch in-line with the fan. Screw the switch to the heatsink.
