ialma Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 (edited) Hello everyone, here's my Fbass BN5 for trade. It was built in 1990. The bad : previous owner decided to paint strip it (don't ask me why, I think it was a somehow dumb decision). Now the body has an orange coat on plain wood. Since there is no poly to strip, the refinish work can be fast and painless (and much cheaper). If you like the color, spray two coats of transparent and you're done. Fretboard has some discoloration and a small ding. The good : neck is straight, action is super low, truss rod works perfectly and the sound is the iconic Fbass sound. Great J tone on steroids, amazing electronics, one of the most versatile I've ever found on a bass. Volume (pull for split single coil/humbucker) balance, tone (pull for passive) This bass has some serious mojo in it. The extra value : the weight. You know a Fbass weight is in the 4.00 - 4.5 kg area. This one weighs 3.5 KG This said, I'm looking for trade offers (five strings fretted, please), open to offers the worst I can do is to say no ! I am mainly looking for a trade so, please, feel free to PM me! Edited September 20, 2018 by ialma 2
Goose Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 So, why do you want to sell this one? If you trade it for also a 5 string, why not keep it?
ialma Posted July 24, 2018 Author Posted July 24, 2018 Thanks for the question : I own another Fbass and I'm quite partial to the ebony fretboard, so I see no reasons to own two.
ialma Posted July 24, 2018 Author Posted July 24, 2018 Was built in 1990, I updated the ad, thanks for pointing out.
