Ampeg PF 500, Pre amp out question.

Hello,

I am considering this particular amp and was wondering if the 'preamp out' socket can be used to go into a powered wedge monitor to be placed near the guitarist, because as we all know, they can never hear enough bass!

Also, can anyone recommend this amp or another in a similar size and range that has this type of output (If it can be used in this way) or a line out separate from the DI.

If you email Ampeg's customer service, I've always found them really helpful and they usually reply inside of a day or two. Just use the contact option on the website.

If it's a powered monitor, it should work. Best if the monitor has an input gain, so you can adjust its level independently of the main amp.
