That a Status Streamline 5, going through a Valeton Dapper boost pedal to get that cheap synth-bass sound.

In truth, it sounds OK on the YouTube but was absolutely righteous on the night.

Cheers.

I just saw the headless neck.  From that angle it looked like you were tight for space and my mind could only fit a paddle into that image.

"cheap synth-bass sound" - hahahahaha

Tonight I depped for a functions-ish band in St. Albans. I have now played Le Freak and Blame It On The Boogie, Dancing Queen and Waterloo, even Uptown Funk, and I was gutted when we ran out of time before I could play Disco Inferno.

Never played ANY of those songs before in front of an audience. Years of pop/rock and blues/rock and Dadrock but never disco.

Don't know where you all rate that lot for coolness or otherwise, but some bloody good fun to be had!

Just thought you'd like to know.

😁

I’d love a gig like that. It gets boring sometimes, playing 8th note roots for 80% of the set.

My tastes for listening lean heavily towards rock, but I do a bit of Le Freak pretty much every time I pick up the bass at the moment. Love that bass line.

Speaking of disco, we had a singalong version of Mama Mia on TV here in North America last night with the words going by at the bottom of the screen.I knew they had done this with the Sound of Music at live performances and in cinemas and on TV but the Mama Mia singalong was new to me. Is it making the rounds in other parts of the BC world?

...I didn't watch much of it...
