FinnDave
****SOLD**** Selling my Ashdown Rootmaster 800 amp head. Bought it used a year ago as a back-up to my RM 800 evo, and although it's been taken to every gig since, I've only ever used it at home as the other amp has been completely reliable. This is the earlier, non-evo version, so lacks one or two of the bells & whistles, but is a very capable and portable amp. I use my Rootmaster mainly through a Barefaced 1x12 8 ohm cab, so the amp is pushing out less than 600w, but it still has never needed to be turned above 1/3 volume. I have also used it through my 2x12 4 ohm cab, and that is very impressive! Almost certainly louder than I will ever need. Small, light, powerful, good tone, what's not to like? Yours for a mere £300 collected from West Oxfordshire, or posted at cost. *I will be travelling around a bit this Autumn, and can bring this with me for a buyer if it helps. I will be in Dorset at the end of September, Leicester on 21st October and 3rd November, and Northumberland (Alnwick area) 4th week October. FinnDave
Yes, it is supposed to be a combined jack/speakon socket, but I have never used it with a jack, all my speaker cables are speakon to speakon. I could check that a jack plug does fit the socket if you like.
police squad
I'm sure it's fine. I'm thinking about it.
FinnDave
As I happen to sitting right next to the amp and have a guitar lead in my hand, I can assure you that the centre of the speakon socket is indeed a standard jack socket.
