Dazm1966 Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Anyone got one? Are they worth it? I use an old bass centre strap from when the bass centre was in Wapping High street and it's getting tired. Ideally I'd like to get something made so its at the right length without adjustment but I've no idea if you can get such a thing. The Scott's bass lesson strap does look good but it's a lot of dosh for a bit of (ok few bits of) leather. Any thoughts? Quote
naxos10 Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 If you search the internet for 'British made guitar straps' there are a number of manufacturers like this one which you could contact and ask if they could make you a fixed length version. https://www.barefootleather.co.uk/.../leather-guitar-straps Quote
Dazm1966 Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 Thanks. I’ll definitely look into it. Quote
garyt Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 You have a Bass Centre strap from when it was in Wapping? And it's a bit tired? Blimey! If you can make a strap last that long, money should be no object. Good job. Quote
Dazm1966 Posted July 30, 2018 Author Posted July 30, 2018 Had a bit of a hiatus from playing! Funnily enough was taking pics of my old Aria pro II earlier and realised that the bass centre sticker on that still has an 01 code! Ended up getting a strap from the site naxos10 suggested. It's perfect! made to measure, top quality and turned round in 2 or 3 days. Quote
No. 8 Wire Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Don't forget Maruszczyk make straps too. I'd go for that British made one, but i really like 4 inch wide. I winder how much they'd charge for something the same spec as the onestrap? https://public-peace.de/accessories/straps/maruszczyk-instruments Quote
