b7l4s Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bespoke-Bass-Guitar-LQQK-Made-From-A-Waney-Plank-With-The-Bark-Still-Attached/192604702442 For all I know it sounds as amazing as claimed, although not sure about the ergonomics... Quote
Beedster Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 I don't usually comment on these for a whole range of reasons. But this one......... Every line of the description is just screaming for a humorous reply: 'Knob made from the same plank...." is just begging for it, as is "I don't know why more basses aren't made this way....?". If the neck is straight as claimed, I'm guessing the body must be bowed. And twisted? If a 10 year old kids made this in the 1960s I'd have some sympathy, but 10 year olds are making more convincing instruments in school woodwork these days! Quote
BreadBin Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 Photo number 6 clearly shows the neck, it's nothing like straight. Quote
TheGreek Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 So aesthetically pleasing...and ergonomic too Quote
Bridgehouse Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 I’d have it. Would be handy as a travel bass.. To keep in the trunk...... Quote

Happy Jack Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Douglas, Fir all I know it was washed up on a beech. It should be turned to ash. Quote
