charic Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 I wonder if it's a toy or there's something particular in mind for it 1 Quote
4000 Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 I love multi-string basses, although I find that somewhat aesthetically challenged. Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 The should have had all tuners on one side, and had a massive droopy Jackson headstock. 3 Quote
uk_lefty Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 IMO Dave Ellefson can do whatever he likes. 2 Quote

burno70 Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 (edited) Get In! 😂 The jokes not the bass. Though I loved Dave was I was a young metal head so if he's happy then good for him. Edited July 27, 2018 by burno70 1 Quote

fender73 Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Jaco only needed.........hahahahaha Looks a beast of a bass. I like it when Dug P plays his 12 string basses - adds such a depth. 1 Quote
Chris2112 Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 I think these double-course basses always work best with a pick. It seems to make the thinner string ring with more presence and clarity than just playing with fingers, so Dave Ellefson should get excellent results from it. Quote
megallica Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 (edited) David borrowed a Yamaha eight string from jimmy Bain and wrote dawn patrol with it. Edited July 29, 2018 by megallica Quote
Delberthot Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Dean did one a few years ago. I want to say that it was the Hammer bass (maybe a play on words with Hamer?) I don't think they lasted very long. John Paul Jones has a 12 string dual course bass and it sounds incredible Quote
