* sold* Ibanez Roadster RS824 £699

Vintage and pretty special Ibanez RS284 for sale. Gorgeous tiger striped wood with a maple neck and fingerboard. Very funky sounding bass.

Even though it's a lovely sounding and very easy to play bass it's not what I'm looking for soundwise. Trusrod and frets in great condition. Low action, new strings. 

Price is 699 gpb incl shipping, open to offers.

The bass is located in the Netherlands, safe shipping is not a problem!

Great bass, I just bought an '82 active/passive version of this Roadster a month ago.

Great tone and very well built. I prefer the passive tone, btw.

And definitely built to last. It's a Roadster, though, not a Roadstar. Different years of production.

I can't see clearly the serial number on my phone, first number is the year of production, if it's a E00... then it was made in 1980.

And looks beautiful. I thought these were made at the Fujigen factory.

Got the date from the Ibanez collecters site. Apparently the Terada plant guitars/basses were even better than the later Fujigen instruments.  I don;t think the difference in quality was really big though, but that's what 'google' says.

You may want to change the thread title to "Roadster" and include year of manufacturing, I waited 4 years until I found mine, and I wasn't interested in Roadstar basses at all, only Roadster. It may help.
